General Rental Terms

With this present the company named ¨Redline RentaCar¨, hereinafter called ¨Lessor¨ (francise under license, to use the trademark of ¨Redline RentaCar¨ for its own benefit and proposes) hereby rents to the Renter the vehicle, as described here in (including any replacement vehicle) subject to the herein below terms and conditions as well as those included on the front side here which the Renter fully accepts in their entirety expressly, unconditionally and unreservedly.  

 

Minimum charge is considered as the one full day rental, based on a 24 hour system which works according to the time/date written on the contract. Minimum rental charge is (1) full day. The time at which the vehicle must be returned is written in the contract. Any modification is required by the acquiescence in writing to Redline RentaCar. Delays of over one or two hours than registered are charged at 50% of the agreed daily rate, while more than 2 hours are charged as an extra day. If the renter wishes to cancel the contract after the start of the rental period or to reduce the length of the rental period, Redline RentaCar has the right not to refund him at all (or not entirely) for the unused days.  

The vehicle is delivered with some fuel (the amount of which is written on the contract) and the renter must return it with the same amount of fuel in it, in any other case he will have to pay the value of the missing fuel (price/litre according to the closest fuel station) plus the ¨Charge of Refilling Service¨ according to the official pricelist. The renter is the one and only responsible to put the right kind of fuel (petrol/diesel/gas). In case of wrong fuel the renter will  have to cover all the damage and assuming the working days of repair charged to the renter. There is no refund for the unused fuel.

 

The renter is responsible for inspecting the vehicle (both interior and exterior), indicating any damages or scratches to Redline RentaCar’s representative and filling up the appropriate Table of Condition without any time limit for these specific charges. And it is to be returned in the same exact condition. Renter received the Vehicle, which he examined and found it to his complete satisfaction, in perfect condition appropriate for the purpose he rents it. The Renter must return the Vehicle and all documents, tools and accessories that accompany it, to the Lessor in the same condition he received it at the location and on the date signified in the agreement. Otherwise and upon expiration of the rental period, the renter will be obliged to pay  the Lessor the normal rental charge plus expenses for any loss or damage. The Lessor reserves the right to gain repossession and use of the vehicle at any time without notice and without the Renter’s consent, but at the renter’s expense, from wherever and by any means if at the discretion of the Lessor, is danger of damage or loss of the vehicle as well as risk of not receiving the rental charge or any other due compensation. The Lessor has the right besides the above mentioned case to gain repossession and use of vehicle if it has been used in violation of this agreement or of designated rental period or against the Greek law.  

For best customer service and to avoid any delays, the vehicle should be returned at least not muddy and ready for inspection, otherwise   an extra time and charge for cleaning and further inspection might be required. In case tar removing is needed, interior cleaning in case of dirt, mud, smoking or pet’s boarding requires extra charge for cleaning always according to the official company’s pricelist. Deliveries or pick up’s are free at any rental stations during the working hours between(09:00-21:00), any out-of-working-hours deliveries or pick up’s cost extra. Deliveries and pick up’s out of the rental stations have an extra charge.

The renter is responsible from the time of picking the vehicle up to the time of returning it and handing over  the keys to a representative of ‘Redline RentaCar’ for any fines, traffic tickets and attached administration penalties for which he is obligated to pay himself and deliver to the Company a valid copy of the payment, otherwise charges of the above plus the operational expenses should be estimated by the company at the time of being announced either by the renter himself upon return or by the police or local traffic authorities at a later time and should be charged without any time limit for these specific charges.

 

It is pointed out that case of an accident(collision, drift etc.) or damage(scratches, hit etc.) and under  any insurance cover, the renter has to immobilize the vehicle and inform the Traffic Police(tel.100), the Accident Care Assistance(the phone number of which is written on the insurance Document of the vehicle) and the Redline RentaCar. Upon return , the Police Accident Report (issued by the Police) and the insurance Accident Report (issued by the Accident Care Service) should be supplied to Redline RentaCar to cover the damage cost in case it is proved that it is not the renter’s fault, otherwise the renter should be considered as responsible and should be charged for the whole cost of damage repairs in addition to the duration of the time for completing the repairs, evenif  he has accepted C.D.W. or F.D.W. In case of damage the renter is obligated to pay to Redline RentaCar the amount that he is responsible for according to the insurance cover that he has already accepted until the insurance company is able to the announce officially that the accident was not the renter’s fault. In case of repairing any damage, the vehicle should be repaired only at authorised repair stations by Redline RentaCar. It’s prohibited to repair the vehicle at any other repair station recommended by the renter except for the official one in Greece by the vehicle’s manufacturer, assuming the working days of repair charged to the renter. In case of engagement in a traffic accident and since it is due to the renter, or even in ignorance of himself (besides the accepted insurance cover) the renter is charged with 30% of the annual insurance fee at a min rate of 100 euros to be submitted to the insurance  company , plus a charge of 24,19 euro + VAT as administration fees and expenses. The guarantor is totally responsible for the rented vehicle and today waived expressly the right of using the benefit of discussion (Defense raised by a surety when sued by the creditor that the principal debtor be claimed from first). The Renter is obligated to cover any amount necessary for replacement or repairing of destroyed tyres or wheels or any sums for restoring damages on the lower part of vehicle regardless of the insurance cover the renter chose. Also the Renter is obligated to indemnify the Lessor in case of car theft and to register that in 24 hours at the Police.

Boarding the vehicle to a Ferry or to a Train is permitted only under written authorization of Redline RentaCar, otherwise the renter is considered as fully responsible for any damage caused inside the Ferry or inside the Train to the rented vehicle or anyone/anything else, even if he has accepted C.D.W. or F.D.W.

 

Driving outside of Greek territory is only permitted if  the company authorises it, in writing and under issuing a ¨Green Card¨ for insurance Cover.

 

For every contract the only insurance cover that will apply, is the one that is written on the front page. Third Part Cover Insurance (TPC): The Renter is insured against third party bodily injuries and third party property damages up to the amount that is written on the insurance contract of the vehicle that has been signed between the Redline RentaCar and the insurance company. Theft Insurance (TW): In case of the theft or loss of the vehicle the renter is obligated to pay the excess amount to the rental company. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): The renter accepts the terms of the Personal Accident Policy of the insurance contract of the vehicle that has been signed between the Lessor and the insurance company. Ferrying Insurance (FER): If the renter accepts the Ferrying insurance that means that the insurance Cover that he has accepted is valid during ferrying. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): The renter is responsible only for the deductible amount of excess for damages on the rented vehicle cause per accident (+exceptions of all insurances). Full Damage Waiver (FDW): The Renter is not responsible for damages on the rented vehicle caused by him (he is responsible only for the exceptions of all the insurances). Wheels / Underside and Glass Damages(WUG)The Redline RentaCar provides an optional insurance which covers damages to wheels, tires, glasses or damages caused to the underside of the car as far as they were not done intentionally or as a result of negligence or oversight. The Renter is obligated to pay the guarantee which is depends of cars Category. All the above provided that they do not violate any term of this agreement.The  Lessor provides insurance coverage against third parties only to those persons who use the vehicle with its permission, by an insurance policy, the terms of which are available for examination. Renter additional authorised drivers and all other passengers of the vehicle are not covered by ‘Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)’ unless the renter accepts the “Personal Accident Insurance” at the beginning of all rentals by initialing in “Accept” box on the front side of this agreement with accepting the coverage provided by the Lessor’s insurance policy personal accidents as mentioned in the official price-list and paying the respective daily charge. It is reminded that the age of the Renter must be between 23 and 75 years old. Luggage is not covered by insurance and the Renter is responsible for any loss or damage of property belonging to him or not.The Lessor holds no responsibility for any such loss, damage etc. at the time of rental or after the return of the  vehicle to the Lessor. 

 

Charges for any of the damages written bellow will be charged directly to the client. Antenna, sound system, trays, clutch, gear box, damage to vehicle lock, loss or damaged keys, door handle, door sill, windshield wipers, glass, mirror, wheels, tyres, interior of vehicle, spare key and jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, warning triangles, damage to upholstery of the car, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness, underside damage, damage due to negligence, tire punctures and bust tires, water submersion or salt-water damage, hail damage, damage to extra equipment (child seats, navigation, etc.) lack of electricity due to forgotten turned on electrical devices, damage or loss of vehicle documents, damage or loss of registration plate, damage or theft of vehicle logo or Redline RentaCar logo.  

Redline RentaCar, in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tire or damages to music devices. Towing costs are not covered by any insurance. Redline RentaCar will not refund any call, taxi or hotel costs. Redline RentaCar will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence. Redline RentaCar does not provide coverage for damages made on unsealed roads. Driving the rental vehicle on glaciers is forbidden. The Vehicle must not be involved in any race, speed test, rally on contest. The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims. Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be considered as negligence. This may result in a charge to the client. The use of the vehicle for transport of dangerous goods or illegal passengers is excluded from the insurance. All insurance cover as part of rental contract will become void, in particular, if anyone else drives the rented vehicle except for the renter driver or if the renter driver of the vehicle does not possess the required drivers license at the time of the event driving rises to claim. There is no insurance cover for a driver that disobeys the Highway Code and drives illegally. Any use of the vehicle in a dangerous manner or illegal purpose or when it is damaged or unsafe is prohibited. The operation of the vehicle for any action described as illegal or criminal against the Greek Law cancels immediately any insurance cover. In the case of vehicle seizure by the police or customs authority, the renter has to pay the total value of the vehicle to Redline RentaCar and all the Court Fees.

 

According to law N.2472/97, we save the personal details of the clients. Thus, any client can have access to his own details.The Renter consents to the digital storage or any  of his personal data. It is strictly agreed that the Lessor is authorised to use such data, when the Renter at the  time of rental makes incorrect statements or violates the terms of this agreement and to pass on such data to the Counties authorities in case there is suspicion of committing a crime or offence.  

 

The Vehicle is always the property of “Redline RentaCar”. This is an agreement of rental only. The Renter is not the Lessor’s agent in any way and in any case.The  Renter acknowledges that he acquires no rights other than those stated in this agreement. During the rental all additional drivers are jointly and severally liable with the renter. Likewise, in the case  this agreement is signed by any representative of the renter, he would be jointly and severally responsible with the renter. This agreement supersedes any other prior or verbal agreement between the Lessor and Renter. The Lessor cannot waive any of its rights deriving from the law and this agreement. Any alteration of the terms of this agreement is not valid if not agreed in writing.The Renter agrees and accepts that all above-mentioned terms are valid both in case of the initial agreement with the Lessor and in any case the  extension of this time of the rental or replacement of the vehicle by another. This agreement is governed by Greek legislation and any and all disputes which may arise between the Lessor and the Renter from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens in Greece.
